About the Preschool for All Steering Committee
With the overwhelming community support for a universal preschool program in Multnomah County, there initially were two plans proposed. In August, Preschool for All and Universal Preschool NOW merged to bring a single measure for universal preschool and fair wages for all preschool teachers to the November 2020 ballot–Preschool for All.
The Preschool for All Steering Committee was established, made up of members from both the Universal Preschool NOW coalition and the Preschool for All task force, as well as members chosen jointly by both campaigns, in order to ensure the passage of the Preschool for All ballot measure.
